The most radical act is self-acceptance.

Accepting other people as they are becomes easier when I accept myself. Self-acceptance isn’t a false belief in the self. It’s not about the construction of identity in a social context. Life can’t be reduced to multiple choice on a social network, profession, race, or class. I recognize my expectations but if I’m in conflict with reality, I can’t experience the world.

To experience peace, I end conflict within myself.
