For futuristic transport system that will leave absolutely no carbon foot print and also use a tiny fraction of the energy used by present ones one has to think out of the box. America is a vast land mass compared to Europe so what is economically feasible in Europe will certainly fail to generate sufficient revenue to support the system in America. Apart from that American mindset is different. So the solution lies in designing and developing a system which would be so sleek and advanced in design and performance that Americans would love to use it.
